Mr. Chen brings over 22 years of professional experience in startup management, investment banking, private equity, and venture fund investment management, spanning a diverse array of sectors including biotech, aerospace, electric vehicles, blockchain, and fintech. Among his notable investments are SpaceX, NIO Inc., and UKDE Limited.

 

In recent years, Mr. Chen has concentrated on the biotechnology sector, where he strives to make a meaningful impact on health quality. In addition to his role at Kermode Biotechnologies, Mr. Chen serves as the COO, CFO, and Board Member for UKDE Limited, a multinational fintech/blockchain/digital finance company poised to become a leading open banking platform.

 

In this capacity, he oversees operations, corporate finance, capital markets, and board management. He is also deeply involved in strategy development and planning, product development, sales and distribution, and business development. Previously, Mr. Chen was a senior partner at NewMargin Ventures, a top 10 venture fund in China, and a founder of Bridge Capital, a top 50 private equity firm in China.

 

His investment banking experience includes roles with PingAn and Huarong Securities, two of China’s leading investment banks. Additionally, he has served as a Senior Financial Analyst at General Motors.

 

Since 2010, Mr. Chen has been an independent board member for HL CORP, a public company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, where he sits on the Strategy and Audit Committees.

 

Mr. Chen earned his Master's degree in Business Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
